Our experience of laparoscopic partial adrenalectomy in surrenal adenomas

Aim: For adrenal lesions which are functional and bigger than four centimeters, the optional therapy is surgery. Laparoscopy for surgery of masses increasingly used today. In past, total adrenalectomy was performed any without exception; however, bilateral involvement tumors like pheochromocytoma causes trouble forced surgeons to try partial adrenalectomy. Recently, a routine surgical procedure also becoming common unilateral lesions. We aimed present short-term results patients who undergo laparoscopic or adrenalectomy.
 Material Method: collect data retrospectively 33 were operated on in our clinic mass between January 2010 December 2014. 3 excluded from study. All gained personal patient medical records. Follow-up records noted with one-by-one interviews by questioning steroid usage symptoms insufficiency.
 Results: Patients divided into two groups as group 19 11 patients. underwent have lesions, while 4 masses. Adrenal insufficiency developed adrenalectomy, 1 Conclusion: Partial appears be protective cases ratio 75%. there no significant difference group, considering postoperative complications, recurrence rates, insufficiency. As result, has similar less morbidity an alternative method Laparoscopic could safely after learning period completed should considered surgeries.
